The City Garden has had a total revamp with white, raised boxes and an incoming dwarf (semi-dwarf actually, but i'm not telling anyone) apple tree. It will hopefully be both pretty and functional. Pictures to come!

Frantic

I got a message from our neighbor in Maine last night. Something is eating my trees. I don't know if it is deer or bugs or moose, but it must be on a level so bad that she would call about it.

It makes me sick to think about it.

This is not a good remote gardener kind of week. It's incredibly frustrating to have such a beautiful spot and well prepared garden, and it is so far away. As its caretaker, I am irresponsible for leaving it.

Fruit

With six apple trees, three plum trees and three cherry trees, we got our first fruit this past summer. Miss Critterpants and i split it. It was the most delicious half of a cherry ever tasted!

Roosevelt Island

Miss Critterpants and I took the tram to Roosevelt Island!
